Here's a snap of northern Dem Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernandez and Secretary of Interior Deb Haaland enjoying a holiday treat. Wonder what they were talking about? Let's guess. . .

TLF: Good to see you, Deb. How are things at Interior?

DH: Not bad since I learned to avoid those demanding aides at the White House. How are things on the Hill?

TLF: Not looking forward to being in the minority, but happy to be re-elected. Hey, have you heard that Sen. Heinrich is eyeing a run for Governor. 

DH: What? Doesn't he know I may want in on that action?

TLF: Well, he will now. 

DH: Keep an eye on him for me, won't you Teresa? 

TLF: You got it. Deb. We can't start soon enough. 

Speaking of Sen. Martin Heinrich, the state's senior senator, here he is at Monday night's Holiday Ball at the White House posing with wife Julie. We didn't notice a "Heinrich for Governor" button on either of them. Not yet anyway.
